Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Marvin Upchurch, 92, of Crosbyton will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Eason, pastor of Matador First Assembly of God Church, and Wendell Horn, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Upchurch died at 11 p.m. Sunday in Irving Community Hospital in Irving after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Iverson and moved to Crosbyton in 1952. He married Maggie Ann Dennis on March 31, 1923, in Hill County. He was a farmer. A son, Thomas M., died in August 1969.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David R. of Irving, William R. of Crosbyton and Felix M. Jr. of Ralls; two daughters, Nita Cutts of Crosbyton and Vera Pierce of Pasadena; two brothers, Earl of Fort Worth and Charles of Whitney; four sisters, Mabel Moss, Alta Curry and Velma Thompson, all of Hillsboro, and May Brown of Waco; 22 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
