Services for Maggie Ann Upchurch, 97, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at the Crosbyton Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bob Heidecker officiating.Burial was in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mrs. Upchurch died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at the Crosbyton Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born Jan. 11, 1904, in Conway County, AR. She married Felix Marvin Upchurch on March 31, 1923, in Hill County, TX. He died July 26, 1992.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Crosbyton and a homemaker. She moved to Crosbyton in 1952.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Melvin, on Aug. 13, 1969, and a granddaughter, Debbie Tessley, on Feb. 13, 1998.
Survivors include three sons, Ray Upchurch of Afton, William Upchurch of Crosbyton and Felix Marvin Upchurch Jr. of Ralls; two daughters, Juanita "Nita" Cutts and Vera Pierce, both of Crosbyton; a sister, Katie Pearl Lawson of Cleburne; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
