U.S.Flag   CROSBYTON — Graveside services for Hubert "Doc" Turner, 78, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crosbyton Cemetery with George Thompson officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

He died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002.

He was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Arthur, Tenn. He spent most of his life in Crosbyton. He was a painter and a carpenter and worked as a newspaper carrier for The Avalanche-Journal for many years.

He had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton since 1933. He served in the Navy during World War II and received three unit citations.

Survivors include a sister, Beulah Bennett of Stockton, Calif.; a brother, Curtis Moore of Manteca, Calif.; and two nephews.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 3411 73rd St., Lubbock, TX 79423.
