Obituary

Mrs. Sue Travis, 79, Dallas, a former Crosbyton resident, died about 10 a.m. Sunday in a Dallas hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Travis was known to local people as "Aunt Sue" Martin.

She was the mother of Lubbock Attorney Jarrett W. Martin, who at one time was county attorney of Crosby County.

Funeral services were held in First Baptist Church of Crosbyton at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officiating was the Rev. Jones W. Weathers of Lubbock. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery beside her first husband, under direction of King Funeral Home.

A native of Brownsville, Tenn., Mrs. Travis had made her home in Dallas for the past two years. She first moved to Crosby County in 1912 and lived here until a few years ago.

Survivors in addition to the Lubbock son, include two other sons, D.C. Martin, Dallas, and Millard Martin, Brownfield; two sisters, Mrs. George Geiger, Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Steve Dillard, Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
