Obituary
M. L. Tillson, a retired farmer and well known member of this community since 1924, succumbed at 5:15 p.m. Monday at his residence, 212 South Durham, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Tillson was 89.
Memorial rites were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Crosbyton Church of Christ, where the deceased served as an elder and faithful member, Bill Bryant, minister of the Parkway Church of Christ in Lubbock, and Joseph Johnston, associate minister of the Crosbyton Church of Christ, conducted.
King Funeral Home directed arrangements and interment in Crosbyton Cemetery.
Born June 13, 1884 in Mize, Miss., M. L. Tillson, and the former Callie Baldwin were married Oct. 2, 1904 in Mize.
Mrs. Tillson is among survivors. Other survivors include: four sons, Cullen of Seattle, Wash., Perry of Crosbyton, Clovis of Albuquerque, NM and Raymond of Austin; three daughters, Mrs. H.B. Barnett of Lubbock, Mrs. Arvis Moore of Crosbyton and Mrs. Wayne A. Kalenich of Rhinebeck, NY; three brothers, S.T. of Mission, S.J. of Mize, Miss., and W.D. of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Joanna Sullivan of Mize, Miss., Mrs. Vera McAlpin of Houston, Miss., and Mrs. Mattie Zeigler of Liberty, Miss.; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
