Obituary

Funeral services for 30 year old Tommy Ray (Tuck) Thornhill were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Crosbyton First Baptist Church. Rev. Leonard Sims, pastor of Matador First Baptist Church, and Rrev. Stanley Nixon, pastor of Pansy Baptist Church, conducted.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery, under the direction of King Funeral Home.

The Crosby County native was found dead Saturday night in his Aurora, Colo., motel room.

Thornhill had been ill with flu recently, and members of the family reported that an autopsy revealed a heart seizure as the cause of death.

Employed as a pipe fitter and electrician, Thornhill moved to Colorado about two years ago.

He was born Dec. 17, 1943, in Ralls and was graduated from Crosbyton High School. Tuck Thornhill also attended Tarleton State College at Stephenville and Arlington State College (now University of Texas at Arlington).

He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Thornhill of Crosbyton; one brother, Donald Wayne Thornhill of Hugo, Okla.; and one nephew, Bobby Don Thornhill of Hugo.
