Henry Swindall photoHenry Alvin “Si” Swindall,83, of Crosbyton passed away May 7, 2015.

Si was born on October 18, 1931 in Crosbyton, Texas to Oscar and Gladys Hinkle Swindall . He married Ruby Sanders in Crosbyton on November 22, 1951 and they were married for 63 wonderful years. Si worked as an electrician for 25 years with City Power and Light in Crosbyton. He retired from SPS after 12 years. He was a member of the Crosbyton Masonic Lodge 1020 and was a Master Mason. He was a recipient of the Golden Trowel Award for his work in Masonry. He umpired games in the early years of the Crosbyton Little League Association. Si was a volunteer fire fighter with the Crosbyton Fire Department for 25 years, serving as Assistant Fire Chief for many of those years. He was past President of the Panhandle Fire Fighters Association. Si was also very active in the Crosbyton Senior Citizens, serving as their President. Si was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where he served faithfully. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, whom he loved very much and enjoyed attending their many activities. Si was preceded in death by his parents; a brother O.B. Swindall Jr.; and a sister Glenda Ferree.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Swindall of Crosbyton; two daughters; Melissa Moore and husband Meredith of Amarillo and Kristi Casler and husband Daron of Amarillo; sisters Dollie Richardson of Crosbyton and Ann Sanders and husband James of Mesquite; brother-in-laws Don Ferree of Crosbyton and Wayne Lee Sanders and wife Bettye of Lubbock; and his three grandchildren Garrett, Tyler and Logan Moore of Amarillo. A visitation will be held from 5- 6 pm on Sunday May 10, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton, TX.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11am at the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, Texas with burial to follow at Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
