CROSBYTON (Special) — Services for Gladys Swindall, 87, of Crosbyton will be at 10:30 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Revs. John Roberts, pastor of Crosbyton First Assembly of God Church, and Steve Joy, pastor of Ralls First Assembly of God Church, assisting.

Burial in Crosbyton Cemetery will be directed by Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Swindall died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1994, in Levelland Nursing Home.

She was born on March 29, 1906, in Rowlett and married Oscar B. Swindall on Sept. 24, 1925, in Royse City. She was a homemaker and a member of Crosbyton First Assembly of God Church since 1937. She moved to Crosbyton in August 1927 from Royse City. A son, Oscar Jr., died Aug. 9, 1950.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Alvin of Crosbyton; three daughters, Dollie Richardson and Glenda Ferree, both of Crosbyton, and Ann Sanders of Mesquite; a sister, Opal Whisenhunt of Mesquite; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Oscar B. Swindall, 87, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Roberts, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Swindall died Friday, Sept. 30, 1994 in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

He was born July 30, 1907, in Gatesville. He married Gladys Hinkle on Sept. 27, 1925, in Royce City. She died Jan. 19, 1994. he was a member of Crosbyton Assembly of God Church, and he moved to Crosbyton from Royce City in 1927.

He worked for Crosby County Precinct 2 in road maintenance and for the city of Crosbyton in the street and water department. A son, Oscar B. Jr., died Aug. 9, 1950.
