Obituary

Claude L. Sudduth of McAdoo, a well known East Plains resident who moved to Crosby County in 1927, was claimed by death at 6 a.m. Monday following a lengthy illness. Mr. Sudduth, 75, succumbed in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

Memorial services were conducted at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Loyd Hall, Church of Christ minister from Gatesville and former minister of the local church, and Joseph E. Johnston of Crosbyton, minister of White River Lake Church of Christ, officiating.

Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery with Adams Funeral Home directing arrangements.

Born July 11, 1906, in Hill County, Claude L. Sudduth was married to the former Loma Belle Cobb on Dec. 18, 1927 in Hill County. The family moved to this county in 1927 from Hill County.

Mr. Sudduth, a farmer, was a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Loma; three sons, Rick of Crosbyton; Dave of Muleshoe and Jim of Lubbock; four sisters, Maude Denning, Gladys Siemon, Faye Greenhill and Imogene Allison, all of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Another son, Charles Sudduth, preceded his father in death on Oct. 25, 1978.
