William R. Strange, 73, of 3309 57th St. in Lubbock died last Wednesday in Methodist Hospital.Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Emma Church of Christ here. Bob Reynolds, minister of the Cactus Drive Church of Christ in Levelland, and Nat Cooper, minister of Monterey Church of Christ in Lubbock officiated. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery with Carter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Strange was born in Tom Green County, June 26, 1897. He lived in Ralls until 1965 when he moved to Lubbock. He was a retired farmer.
He was married to Alice O´Neal Aug. 5, 1920, in Lubbock.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie McIntyre of San Mateo, CA, and Mrs. Mary Lou McIntyre of Houston; a son, Jimmie of Lubbock; two brothers, Laurence of San Antonio and George of Crosbyton, and three grandchildren.
