  CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Max Stockton, 81, of Lubbock will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Beth Harrington, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial in Crosbyton Cemetery will be directed by Adams Funeral Home.

Stockton died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1993, in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

He was born on Oct. 14, 1912, in Buffalo Gap and moved to Crosbyton in 1915. He moved to Lubbock in 1953. He married Katie Lu Waggoner on Jan. 14, 1950, in Amarillo. He was an auto parts dealer and a member of the Masonic Order. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Kayla Cain of Novato, CA; a brother, T.W. Stockton Jr. of Crosbyton; and a sister, Marie Cornelius of Crosbyton.
