Mrs. Bertha Beatrice Stephens, 81, of 2307 62nd St. in Lubbock was claimed by death at 8:50 p.m. Saturday in Quaker Villa nursing home in Lubbock. Mrs. Stephens was a former Crosbyton resident.

Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Monday in the 25th Street Baptist Church, Lubbock, with the Rev. Mancil Webb, pastor, officiating. The Rev. Bob Metzger assisted.

Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery.

An Oklahoma native, Mrs. Stephens had resided in Lubbock the past 30 years. She moved to Lubbock from Crosbyton.

She was a member of the 25th Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Juanita Edler of Lubbock and Beatrice Stegall of Crosbyton; a son, R.L. Stephens of Crosbyton; eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
