CROSBYTON (Special) - Albert F. Stephens, 74, 2301 2nd St., Lubbock died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Nichols Manor Convalescent Home here after an illness of about three weeks.

A native of Belton, Ark. Stephens moved to Crosby County in 1935, where he farmed and later operated a laundry here. In 1952, he moved to Lubbock, where he operated a grocery store until his retirement several years ago.

Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Earnest Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home. Masonic graveside rites will be held.

Survivors include the wife, Bertha; two sons, Frank, of the home, and R. L., Crosbyton; two daughters, Alton Edler, 2108 67th St., and Mrs. Irvin Stegall, Crosbyton; a sister, Mrs. Cleo Monaghan, Chattanooga, TN; a brother, Voyt Langford, Dennison; eight grandchildren and a great grandchild.
