Graveside services for Monette Sessums Stegall, 78, of Crosbyton was at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Crosbyton Cemetery, with Terry Ellison officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.Monette passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2006 at Crosbyton Hospital.
She was born July 2, 1927 in Lubbock, to the late W. T. and Grace (Yates) Sessums. On Dec. 7, 1951 she married Norris Stegall in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1993.
She was a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ. She had lived in Crosbyton all her life and worked in food service for many years at various places. She most recently worked as a provider for Home Healthcare.
Monette is preceded in death by a son, Kelly Stegall.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Stegall of Bridgeport, Joe Stegall of Ft. Worth and Mark Dale Stegall of Rochester, MN; a daughter, Nova Reed of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Bill Sessums of Nolanville, Jack Sessums of Lubbock; two sisters, Mildred Benton of Ft. Worth, Faye Ralston of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
