CROSBYTON (Special)— Services for Myrtle Lea Steen, 92, of Crosbyton will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Griffin, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Velma Trimble of Forsythe, Mont., assisting.
Burial will be at Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
She died Monday, May 1, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside.
She was born Sept. 10, 1907, in Fannin County. She married Austin "Jack" Steen Sr. on Aug. 23, 1925, in Hunt County. He died March 7, 1962.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Crosbyton.
She had worked for Crosbyton Hospital and Crosbyton Care Center and at various restaurants in Crosbyton.
She moved to Crosbyton about 70 years ago.
A son, Bill Steen, died April 23, 1986. A grandchild also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Austin Jr. of Crosbyton and Harold of Amarillo; a sister, Jean Jansen of Liberal, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
