An illness spanning several years terminated in death about 3:30 a.m. Monday for Mrs. Frances Louise Steen. She succumbed in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.Mrs. Steen was 45.
Funeral rites were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Johnnie Williams, pastor, officiated.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
The former Frances Louise Nickson was born December 18, 1931 in Tioga, TX. She and Bill C. Steen were married September 12, 1949 in Idalou. Mrs. Steen was almost a lifelong Crosbyton resident.
Prior to her illness, the well known Crosbyton resident was a secretary at Crosbyton Federal Credit Union.
In addition to the husband, survivors include one son, Billy Steen Jr. of Crosbyton; three daughters, Mrs. Freda Bartlett of Crosbyton, Mrs. Karen McFadden of Lubbock and Miss Debbie Steen of Crosbyton; her father, Carl Nickson of Crosbyton; and one sister, Mrs. A.L. (Bette) Williams of Crosbyton.
