U.S.Flag     CROSBYTON (Special) — Services for Billy Clyde Steen Sr., 58, of Canyon will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Calvary Baptist Church in Canyon with the Rev. Joe Higgs, pastor, officiating.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Dr. Lester Griffin, pastor of Crosbyton First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Steen, a native of Crosbyton, died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday at the Granville Morton Cancer Hospital in Dallas after a lengthy illness.

He was a veteran of World War II. He married Alice Marie Greene on Aug. 27, 1977, in Tahoka. He was a heavy equipment operator and a sheep rancher. He was a Mason and a member of the Eastern Star. He moved to Canyon in 1977 from Crosbyton.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Myrtle Steen of Crosbyton; three daughters, Freda Bartlett of Crosbyton, Karen McFadden of Lubbock and Debbie Steen of San Angelo; a son, Billy C. Jr., of Crosbyton; two stepsons, Loyd Greene of Rotan and Joe Greene of Waco; two brothers, Austin of Crosbyton and Harold of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren.
