Alice SteenServices for Alice Marie Steen, 77, of Canyon will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005, at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with the Rev. David Crump, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Canyon.

She was born Dec. 6, 1927 in Crosbyton to Rollin and Lillian Artley. She was a farm girl her entire life. She married Gene Greene in Crosbyton in 1947, and after he passed away in 1973, she married Billy Clyde Steen in Plainview in 1977. He also preceded her in death in 1985. Alice worked at the hospital in Crosbyton in the bookkeeping department for five years, at West Texas State University as a cashier for two years, and at Randall County for 18 years as the head of motor vehicle registration before retiring in 1997. She was a former member of Eastern Star and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Canyon.

Survivors includ e two sons and daughters-in-law, Loyd Glen and Cindy Greene of Rotan, and Joe David and Robin Greene of Cedar Park; a daughter, Barbara Greene of Crosbyton; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Fayma and Billy Crump of Ralls; a sister-in-law, Lorene Long and husband Harold of Midland; two brothers-in-law, Austin Steen Sr. and wife Faye of Crosbyton, and Harold Steen and wife Joyce of Amarillo; grandchildren, Kasey and Damon Drinnon of St. George, Grenada, Lane Greene of Canyon, Aaron Greene of Snyder, Alexa and Heath Parker of Crosbyton, Franklin Hadderton of Bee Bee, Ark., and Amy, Kayla and Melyssa Greene of Cedar Park.

Memorials may be sent to Prader-Willi Association of Texas, P.O. Box 2100, Cedar Park, TX 78630 or to a favorite charity.
