Obituary

Graveside services for Laura Starr, a longtime Crosbyton resident, were at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Crosbyton Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Horn, pastor of Galilee Baptist Church, officiated.

Arrangements were handled by Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Starr was 76. She died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Health Sciences Center Hospital, Lubbock, following a prolonged illness.

Born June 18, 1903 in Hearne, Tex., Mrs. Star was a longtime resident of Crosbyton Care Center.

Survivors include one foster son, Charles Obil Planks of Lubbock; one foster daughter, Marion Washington of Pasadena, Calif.; and "A host of Crosbyton Friends."
