John Snodgrass photoFamily and friends of John Snodgrass will gather to celebrate his life of 69 years at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at St. Paul's on the Plains Episcopal Church, 1510 Ave. X, Lubbock. A committal service will follow at 2 p.m. at Crosbyton Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday at Lake Ridge Chapel. Mr. Snodgrass passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010.

John David was born April 5, 1940 to Dr. Milo and Dorothy Hickman Snodgrass in Anaconda, MT. He married Suzanne Burdick, April 1, 1961 in Houston, Texas. John graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors Degree in Zoology. He was a Medical Technologist for 35 years with Knox-Stone Clinic and Brownfield Regional Medical Center. John was an active member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, serving as Senior Warden for several terms.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne; sons, John Snodgrass Jr. and wife Emily of Brownfield, Jeff Snodgrass of Lubbock, and Dan Snodgrass and wife Aylin of Johnson City, TX; sister, Jane Dossey and husband Garry of Waco; sister-in-law, Janelle Snodgrass of Crosbyton; granddaughters, Hannah Snodgrass, Hadley Snodgrass, Megan Huff, and Micha Huff; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Snodgrass was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dick Snodgrass.
