Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Velma Olivia Smith, 86, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Les Griffin, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith died at 4:11 a.m. Monday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Panola County and moved to Crosby County in 1923. She married Ferrin "Bennie" Smith on Dec. 19, 1923, in Crosbyton. He died on Sept. 7, 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Willie of Crosbyton; four grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
