Services Held Wednesday for Tandy L. Smith
Funeral services for Tandy L. Smith, 53, lifelong resident of the South Plains area, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in King Chapel, with Walter A. Brown, minister of the Crosbyton Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in the Crosbyton cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith, who had lived in Crosbyton most of his adult life, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday following a heart attack last Friday. Born Jan. 2, 1899, in Dickens county, he spent his entire life in Dickens, Hale and Crosby counties. He had been a mechanic here for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Etha; two sons, Cleddie and Clafford, both of Premont; his mother, Mrs. W. B. Smith of Big Spring; four sisters, Mrs. W. B. Ray and Mrs. Exa Powell, both of Odessa; Mrs. J. M. Baker, of Vaughn, N. Mex., and Mrs. Agness Hollingsworth of Philadelphia, and two brothers, Roland and Harold Smith, both of Pennsylvania.
Pallbearers were Jack Hash, Gordon Tyler, Elbert Morgan, Billy Hash, Joe Johnston, and Weldon Dendy.
