Services for Mrs. W.B. Smith, 79, Set for Today

Funeral services for Mrs. W.B. Smith, 79, will be held this afternoon, Thursday, April 1, at 2:30 p.m. in King Chapel with Cline Drake, minister of Crosbyton Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyon Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, in a Big Spring hospital, following a long illness. Born Nov. 1, 1874 in Georgia, she moved to Tapp in Dickens County near where Spur is now located in 1896. In 1906 the family moved to Hale County, and in 1918 to Crosby County.

Survivors inlude two sons, Roland Smith of Crosbyton and Harold Smith of Pennsylvania; four daughters, Mrs. George B. Ray and Mrs. Exa Powell, both of Odessa, Mrs. Agnes Hollingsworth of Philadelphia, Penn., and Mrs. J.M. Baker of Vaughn, N.Mex.; one brother, six sisters, 19 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
