Obituary

U.S.Flag   Funeral services for Pat Raymond Smith, 74, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 1989, at the Fist United Methodist Church of Crosbyton.

Reverend Jo Carr, pastor, officiated. Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was found dead at his residence in Lubbock Sunday, January 22, 1989.

He was born in Crosbyton January 22, 1915. He married Novelle Witt Jan. 1, 1935, in Crosbyton. She preceded him in death in 1984.

Mr. Smith lived in Ardmore, OK, California, Morton and Crosbyton before moving to Lubbock. He was a motel owner and operator who owned the Triple D Motel in Ardmore, OK. He was a former member of the Bledsoe, TX school board. He was a journeyman carpenter at one time and worked for Universal Studios and Lockheed Aircraft Crop. He is a member of the Baptist Church.

Mr. Smith is survived by two daughters, Doreta Keith of Victoria, TX; Patricia Reynolds of Moore, OK, and one brother, Joe T. Smith of Lubbock.

A sister, Mrs. Irene Wiedeman died the same day as her brother in CA.
