Margie SmithServices for Margie Lee Smith, 71, of Crosbyton were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2004 at the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Les Griffin and the Rev. Jerry Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She was born June 2, 1932 in Floyd County to Jim and Ada Lee Mallow Jones.

She married Wildon M. "Brownie" Smith on June 5, 1957 in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1996.

She was a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Glory singers and Seniors Plus. She worked as an apartment manager for the Crosbyton Rural Development for several years. She moved to the Big 4 Community in 1957 and was active in the Ladies Quilting Club.

She is preceded in death by two brothers; Leroy Jones and Albert Carrol Jones.

Survivors include, two sons; Mark Smith and his wife Sandra of Lockney, Jay Smith and his wife Diana of Idalou, a daughter; Kristi Wishmeyer and her husband Royce of Arlington, two sisters; Dorothy May Anderson of Floydada and Billie Crawford of Lubbock, seven grandchildren; Christen Smith, Brittany Brooks, Kory Smith, Rachel Smith, Kendall Dax Wishmeyer, Spring Wishmeyer and Byron Wishmeyer.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

Pallbearers will be Jim Crawford, Jody James, Doug Gallaway, David McCauley, Johnny Jones, and Jimmy Jones.
