Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Smith, 72, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Stewart officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith died suddenly at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Born in Nebraska, she moved to Crosby County in 1912 and had made her home in the Big Four Community since then.

She is a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Carr of Lubbock and Mrs. Irvin Shaw of Corpus Christi; three sons, Royce of Brownwood, Brownie and Bluey of Crosbyton; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bill Parker of Foraker, OK, and four brothers, O.C. Fowler, Glenford Fowler, Ralph Fowler and Arnal Fowler, all of Crosbyton.
