Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church here for Mrs. Estelle Ellen Smith, a former resident of Crosbyton. The Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was claimed by death at 9:30 p.m. Monday in Hendricks Memorial Hospital in Abilene. She was 46.
A native of Denton County, Mrs. Smith resided in this community for 23 years. She moved in 1967 to Abilene.
Survivors include her husband, Royce, of Brownwood; two daughters, Mrs. Joy Edgar of Ft. Hood and Mrs. Mary Cantrell of Brownwood; a son, Jimmy Smith of Arlington; a brother, Alvin Kinley of Crosbyton; five sisters, Mrs. Pearl Brown of Roanoak, Mrs. Myrtle Fuller of Arlington, Mrs. Bee Smith and Mrs. Faye Steen, both of Crosbyton, and Mrs. Geraldine Hunter of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.

Royce Smith 86 of Crosbyton passed away Thursday October 3, 2012 in Lubbock Texas. Graveside Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday October 4, 2012 at the Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Maness officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Royce was born December 27, 1925 in Crosbyton Texas to Charles and Mabel Fowler Smith. He married Estelle Kinley she preceded him in death on February 5, 1973 he was a mechanic in Crosbyton for many years, he loved working on cars, gardening and crafts. He is also preceded in death by a daughter Joy Edgar.
He is survived by a son Jimmy Smith of Joshua Texas, a daughter Mary Cantrell of Brownwood Texas, eight grandchildren and18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his soul mate Ida Fink of Crosbyton.
