Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Betty Cody Smith, 80, of Lovington, NM and formerly of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Randy Butler, associate pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home here.

Mrs. Smith died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Lovington after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Little River County, Ark. She moved to Lovington from Texarkana, Ark., in 1971.

Survivors include four daughters, May Fair of Atascadero, Calif., Neoma Douglas and Gerthie Cates, both of Texarkana, Ark., and Bernice White of Waco; two sons, Harold Cody of Idabel, OK, and Odell Cody of Lovington, NM; 30 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
