SHALLOWATER Services for Nettie Mae Skidmore, 76, of Shallowater will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Shallowater.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002.
She was born March 10, 1926, in Crosbyton. She married Charley James Skidmore on April 25, 1942, in Crosbyton. She moved to Shallowater in 1972 from Lubbock, where she lived since 1953. She taught Sunday school at her church, and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jimmy Roy, David Charles and Michael James, all of Shallowater; Patricia Carol Skidmore of Huntsville, Ala., Sharon Donnetta Waller of Hale Center and Melody Gay Hollingsworth of Vernon; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Services for Charley James Skidmore, 84, of Shallowater will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Shallowater First Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Smith and Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Charley passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009 in Lubbock. He was born February 2, 1925 in Dike, Texas to the late Albert and Beatrice (Price) Skidmore. On April 25, 1942 he married Nettie Mae Wallace in Crosbyton. She preceded him in death on October 16, 2002.
Charley moved to Shallowater in 1972 from Lubbock and was a member of the Shallowater First Baptist Church where he worked with the R. A.'s, was Sunday School Superintendant and song leader. He was a US Army veteran and served as commander of the Disabled POW Veterans.
Charley is preceded in death by a grandson, Robby Skidmore.
Survivors include; three sons; Jimmy Skidmore, David Skidmore, both of Shallowater and Michael Skidmore of Lubbock, three daughters; Patricia Skidmore of Huntsville, Alabama, Sharon Waller of Rogers, Arkansas, Melody Hollingsworth of Vernon, one brother, Paul Skidmore, four sisters; Nancy, Margaret, Mildred and Lucille, 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
