Obituary

Funeral rites for Edgar L. Shipman, 90, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in King Funeral Home Chapel. Shipman died about 11 p.m. Sunday in the Crosbyton hospital following a lengthy illness.

A retired ginner and farmer he had been a resident of the Crosbyton area since 1920.

The Rev. B.A. Hyatt of Lubbock officiated and burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

He is survived by a son, W.R. of Lockney; three daughters, Mrs. Don Edler of Perryton, Mrs. J.P. Bachman of Crosbyton and Mr.s H.J. Browning of Borger; a sister, Mrs. Euphie Casper of Blackwell, OK; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

• Ethel Lenora Shipman, born December 06, 1914 in Dickens Co.., Texas; died September 12, 1978 in Wichita Tahoka Co.., Texas.
• Margaret Lucile Shipman, born February 03, 1920; died June 07, 1926 in Crosbyton, CrosbyCo., Texas.
• Ella Viola Shipman, born January 03, 1923 in Crosbyton, CrosbyCo., Texas; died February 03, 1999 in Pampa, Texas. She married Herbert J Browning; born February 11, 1923.
