Ardella Justus Schmidt, 91, of Lubbock formerly of Crosbyton passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Lubbock. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Church of Christ in Crosbyton with Don Parker and Dayton Parker officiating.
Ardella was born October 10, 1921 in Leonard, TX to the late George and Pearl (Mayes) Smith. She married Otis Justus in 1942 in Crosbyton he preceded her in death in 1965; they had one daughter, Sue Cornelius and one son, Wayne Justus; and later she married Robert Schmidt. Ardella was a seamstress and a member of the Church of Christ in Crosbyton. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death her parents, her first husband, Otis Justus, second husband Robert Schmidt and three siblings.
Survivors include her son, Wayne Justus and his wife Lynda of Breckenridge, TX, her daughter, Sue Cornelius of Lubbock, one brother, Robert Smith and his wife Marlene of Fort Worth, nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that Memorials be made to Crosbyton Cemetery Association 221 W Main Crosbyton, TX 79322 or Lubbock Christians Children�s Home PO Box 2824 Lubbock, TX 79408.
