Services for Alejandra "Alex" Casanova Santos, 59, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alex Ruiz officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at her residence (under care of hospice).

She was born July 25, 1939, in Sinton, TX. She married Jose G. "Joe" Santos on Feb. 19, 1960, in Lubbock, TX. She was a member of Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church. She formerly worked at Pinkston´s Grocery Store and George´s Grocery Store in Crosbyton and at Ball´s Department Store in Crosbyton. She moved to Crosbyton in 1951 from Edcouch. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus Casanova.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Santos of Crobyton; her mother, Margarita Casanova of Crosbyton; two sons, Juan Jose Santos of Fort Worth and Leonal Santos of Brownwood; a daughter, Lydia Santos of Fort Worth; five brothers, Juaquin Casanova, Rev. Marcos Casanova, Rev. Salome Casanova and Rev. Miquel Casanova, all of Crosbyton and Norberto Casanova of Dallas; four sisters, Amelia Arroyo, Ema Singleterry and Priscilla Casanova, all of Crosbyton and Eva Lozano of Ralls; and two grandchildren, Linda Lizette Santos and Jesus Alejandro Santos.

Jose Santos photoJose Santos Jr., 77, of Brownsville, TX went to be with his Lord on December 29, 2014.

He was born on August 1, 1937 in Edroy, TX to Jose and Tomasa Garza Santos Sr. Jose married Alejandra Casanova on February 19, 1960, in Lubbock, TX. Joe was a member of Templo Elim Asamblea de Dios (now Trinity Worship Center) for over 55 years. He was a Sunday school teacher, director, leader of the youth, maintenance man, and lawn caretaker. Any job placed before him in the church he was willing to do. Joe also worked for several years as maintenance for the First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton, also employed with the Crosbyton City Electric Plant. Josito as he was known by his friends was a self employed handyman during the Spring and Summer, but would work at the American Cotton Growers during the Fall and Winter seasons. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Alejandra Casanova.

Jose is survived by one daughter; Lydia Carlock and husband Daniel of Saginaw, two sons; Leonel Santos and wife Teresa of Brownsville, Juan Jose Santos and wife Young-Ah of Ft. Worth, five grandchildren; Linda Lizette Rivas and husband Arturo, Jesus Alejandro Santos, Jonas Ki Santos, Magarita Yuni Santos, Larisa Jinju Santos.

Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Trinity Worship Center in Crosbyton. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the same church.
