Benito �Bennie� Sanchez,77, of Crosbyton passed away on April 30, 2015 at his residence. A rosary will be held on Sunday May 3rd at 7pm at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton, Texas. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton, with burial to follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Bennie was born October 1, 1937 in McFaddin, Texas to Bruno and Helena Sanchez. He was married to the late Elida Duran until her death in 2011. Bennie had worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 20 years. He was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church and had lived around this area for most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father Bruno, his wife Elida, brothers Johnny Sanchez and Bruno Sanchez Jr., and his grandsons Xavier Sanchez, Fabian Sanchez and Isiac Sanchez.
Bennie is survived by his mother Helena Sanchez of Crosbyton; two daughters; Melissa Sanchez of Crosbyton,Sonia Sanchez of Austin; one son; Benito Sanchez Jr. of Lubbock; four sisters; Mary Sanchez and Annie Sanchez of Crosbyton; Rosie Mullins and husband Martin of Lubbock;and Irene Almaraz and husband Pete of Crosbyton; six brothers ; Jesse Sanchez and wife Georgia of Lubbock; Jimmy Sanchez and wife Connie of Petersburg; Frank Sanchez and wife Adel of Crosbyton; and Martin, Joe, and Tony Sanchez all of Crosbyton; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
