  ABERNATHY (Special) - Masonic graveside services for Manus Mills Samples, 66, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Cemetery.

Interment will be directed by Abell Funeral Home.

Samples died Sunday at his residence.

He was born in Olney, graduated from Mexia High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He moved to Crosbyton in 1957. He worked for the City of Crosbyton as an electrician in the city power and light department. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 1058 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, John Miller Post in Post.

Survivors include a son, Danny of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Connie Watson of Abernathy; a sister, Julia Morris of Mexia; and five grandchildren.
