Prayer services for Moses Salazar, 94, of Crosbyton will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Templo Marantha in Crosbyton. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2006 at same church with the Rev. Salome Casanova officiating. Burial will followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.He passed away Monday, January 16, 2006 at Crosbyton Hospital.
Moses was born on January 18, 1911 in San Benito, Texas to Cecil and Sirilee (Martinez) Salazar. In 1938 he married Mary Elva Benavides in San Benito. She preceded him in death on February 1, 1983.
He was a member of the Templo Maranatha in Crosbyton. He moved to Crosbyton 15 years ago. Survivors include; eight sons; Moses Salazar, Jr. of Crosbyton, Cecil Salazar of Billings, Montana, Roddy Salazar of Ralls, Raul Salazar of Lubbock, Richard Salazar of Snyder, Eli Salazar of Lubbock, Robert Salazar of Billings, Montana, David Salazar of Mercedes, Texas, two daughters; Mary Alice Cisneros of Lorenzo and Elva Martinez of Noble, Oklahoma, 34 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Tommy Sanchez, Ronnie Salazar, Eli Salazar, Jr., Mathew Salazar, Danny Salazar and Moses Salazar, III.
