Obituary

Final rites for Mrs. Lewis Sager were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. John Sehwensen, Lubbock.

Floy Malinda Sager, 64, was born at Speedwell, Tennessee, and first came to Crosbyton in 1911. She had been in failing health for several years. Death claimed her at 9:45 p.m., December 19.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Don, Lubbock; a brother, Clyde Edwards, Lubbock; and a grandson.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral rites will be held at 4 p.m. today (Thursday) for Lewis Sager, 75, in the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton. Sager died at his home Monday morning.

The Rev. Ernest Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

A native of Missouri, Sager was a veteran of World War I. He moved to Crosbyton in 1916. After the war he operated a service station here for several years.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Don of Lubbock; two step-sons, Carl Stephens of Denver and Lewis Stephens of Longmont, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Nate Bassett of Tryon, Neb., and Mrs. Earl Long of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Erwin Stephens of Boston, Mass., and Avery Stephens of Caliente, Nev.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
