Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Jose Ruiz Sr., 76, of Crosbyton will be at 10 a.m. Monday in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Parampil, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 2 a.m. Friday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after an illness.

He was born in Floresville and had lived in Mathis and Lorenzo before moving to Crosbyton in 1968. He married Magadalena Mariino on July 17, 1936, in Fashing. He was employed with Green Thumb and was a member of San Jose Catholic Church and the Crustillasta.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jose Jr. and David, both of Crosbyton, and Domingo of Tazewell, Tenn.; 10 daughters, Margarita Calderon, Maria Velasquez and Ofelia Mata, all of Ralls, Olga De La Rosa of Sweetwater, Soila Rodriquez of Abernathy, Delfina Gonzalez of Stamford, and Pauline Barbosa, Irene Guzman, Janie Pena and Oralia Ramon, all of Crosbyton; two sisters, Elena Marino of Crosbyton and Erlinda Casanova of Lubbock; 49 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
