Mrs. Mabel Edna Rowse, 73, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Crosbyton Hospital. A pioneer Crosby County resident, she moved to Crosbyton in 1913. She was a native of Tecumseh, Neb., and a member of the Baptist Church.Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Otis Testerman, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, C.E. Rowse; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Thurnhoffer, Albuquerque, NM, Mrs. M.C. Simmons, Muleshoe, and Mrs. Evelyn Mannen, Bountiful, Utah; four sons, Herbert, Tucumcari, NM, Clarence Albuquerque, William, Lincoln, Neb., and Bob, Lubbock; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Williams, Lubbock; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

CROSBYTON (Special) - Charley E. Rowse, 81, a Crosbyton resident since 1913, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday in the Crosbyton Nursing Home.Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev.Floyd Schaeffer, pastor of the Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of King Funeral Home.
Rowse, a native of Ballajh Valley, Neb., was a washing machine sales and repair man. He was a deacon in the Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Herbert of Tucumcari, NM, Elmer of Albuquerque, and Robert of Lubbock; three daughters, Mrs. M.C. Simmons of Crosbyton, Mrs. Nellie Thurhoffer of Albuquerque and Mrs. Evelyn Mannen of West Jordan, Utah; three brothers and three sisters, all of Nebraska; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
