Dr. William Romane

U.S.Flag   Services for Dr. William Romane, 81, of Bryan, TX., were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at First United Methodist Church in Bryan with Rev. Harral Dunnam, Rev. Bob Richers and Dr. Morris House officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery Oct. 29, 1999 at 2 p.m. under direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Bryan, TX.

He died Oct. 26, 1999. He was born Sept. 3, 1918.

He graduated from Texas A&M in 1943. He had lived in Bryan since 1956.

Dr. Romane was a Professor Emeritus at Texas A&M, where he taught at the large Animal Clinic in the Veterinary College of Medicine. He retired in 1985. He also worked for the Quine Division of Granada Cattle Company. He also served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia of Bryan; one son, Bill and wife Becky of Houston; two step sons, Stan Carter of Conroe, Chip and wife Connie Arnold of Garland; two step daughters, Vickie Standley of Grants, NM, and Michele and husband Gary Hefner of Allen; three nephews; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials to First United Methodist Church building fund in Bryan, TX.
