Mass for Raquel Rodriguez, 75, of Crosbyton was celebrated at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 1998, in the San Jose Catholic church in Crosbyton with Rev. Glenn Rosendale, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Rodriguez died at 7:02 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 1998, in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following an illness.

She was born April 5, 1922, in Laredo, TX, and married Marcelino Rodriguez October 21, 1946, in Laredo. She was a homemaker and a member of the San Jose Catholic Church. She moved to Crosbyton from Olton in 1959.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Patricio Garcia who died in 1951, and by a sister, Maria Garcia who died in 1988.

Survivors include her husband, Marcelino Rodriguez of Crosbyton,; a son, Victor Rodriguez of Lubbock; seven daughters, Rachel Cervantes of Ennis, Becky Cantu and Osa Martinez of Crosbyton, Mary Guzman of Ft. Worth, Marta Pena of Amarillo, Maggie Martinez of Lubbock, and Mamie Tells of Brownfield; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers.

Marcelino RodriguezRosary for Marcelino Rodriguez, 87, of Crosbyton will be at 7 p.m., Sunday, at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at the same church with Rev. Malcolm Neyland officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Marcelino passed away on Feb. 7, 2008 in Brownfield.

He was born on Nov. 4, 1920 in Laredo to Juan and Maura Rodriguez. On Oct. 21, 1946 he married Raquel Garcia. She preceded him in death on March 11, 1998.

Marcelino was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton, worked for American Cotton Growers for several years and was a US Army veteran of WWII. Marcelino moved to Crosbyton in 1959 from Olton.

Survivors include a son, Victor Rodriguez (Isabel) of Lubbock; seven daughters, Rachel Cervantes of Ennis, Becky Cantu (Augustine) of Crosbyton, Rosa Martinez (Pat) of Crosbyton, Mary Guzman (Jesse) of Ft. Worth, Marta Pena (Sebastian) of Crosbyton, Maggie Martinez (Santos) of Lubbock, Mamie Tells (Robert) of Brownfield; a brother, Domingo Rodriguez of Laredo; a sister, Lupe Gallegos of Laredo; 29 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
