Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Rosary for Buddy Damian Rodriguez, 14, of Crosbyton will be recited at 7 p.m. today in San Jose Catholic Church with Monsignor Harold Waldo, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Amarillo, officiating. The Rev. Tom Parampil, pastor, will assist.

Mass will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 1 a.m. Monday in University Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Lubbock and was a lifelong Crosbyton resident. He was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church and the Catholic Youth Organization. He was a freshman at Crosbyton High School where he played basketball and participated in track. He was a manager for the football team.

Survivors include his parents, Alfonso and Anna Rodriguez of Crosbyton; a sister, Triny Rodriguez of Crosbyton; his grandparents, Narsario and Rachel Rubalcado of Crosbyton and Nicholas and Concepcion Diaz of San Buena Ventura, Mexico; his great grandparents, Magdalena Rodriguez of Huron, Calif., Simona Rodriguez of Aquascalientes, Mexico and Ascencion Zapata of Acuna, Mexico.
