Memorial services for Charlie C. Robison, 88, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, in the First Baptist Church of Crosbyton. The Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, and the Rev. Israel Rodriquez, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Mission, officiated.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery beside the grave of his wife, Myra, who preceded him in death March 10, 1975. Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.
A member of First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, he became a deacon of the Baptist Church in 1929.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. George (Madeleine) Stanford of Crosbyton; one brother, Rufus Robison of Garland; two grandchildren, Lee Stanford of Memphis, Tenn., and Miss Sue Stanford of Arlington; and one great granddaughter, Miss Myra Stanford of Memphis, Tenn.
A Crosbyton resident since 1867, Mrs. Robison died shortly after noon last Wednesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born July 8, 1888 in Marietta, Tex., Charlie Robison and the former Myra Rogers were married in Cornet, Tex., August 22, 1917. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S. Army as a corporal in the Infantry.
Mr. Robison was a retired civil service employee. He and his wife moved to Crosbyton in 1967 from Hooks.
