Obituary

Services for Woodrow W. Robertson, 83, of Crosbyton were held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 1996, in the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Rine, a retired Baptist minister from Idalou officiating.

Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mr. Robertson died at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 1996, at his Crosbyton residence following an illness.

He was born July 10, 1912, in Gary, Panola County, Texas, and married Fae Ellison Oct. 19, 1935, in Crosbyton. He was a farmer and a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church and the Downtown Bible Class. He was a member of the Crosbyton Lions Club where he had served as Lions Boss. He was a member of the Crosbyton Senior Citizens, the Open Heart Club and the Green Hut Domino Club. For several years he had been a supporter of the Kerrville Crippled Children´s Camp and the Lubbock Boys Ranch. He lived in the Crosbyton area for 80 years.

Survivors include his wife, Fae Robertson of Crosbyton; one son and his wife, Carrol and Eunice Robertson of Mission; one daughter and her husband, Sue Jan and Steve Herber of Houston; one sister, Carmen Smith of Crosbyton; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
