Squeaky Robertson

U.S.Flag   Marland Robertson LUBBOCK — Marland "Squeaky" Robertson, 84, of Lubbock passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013. He was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Ralls to Jackson Dennis and Lavert (McDonald) Robertson.

Squeaky served as a police officer with Lubbock Police Department for 37 years before he retired. He also worked as a carpenter for many trim contractors in the Lubbock area. Squeaky served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Lubbock Professional Police Association.

Squeaky is survived by four daughters, Melody Davis and husband Richard of Round Rock, Marla Mason and husband Don of Grayback, Texas, LyNae Steele and husband Heath of Lubbock, and Amber D'Quae Steele and James Stills of Lubbock; one sister, Doris West of Crosbyton; his sweet Sue Ann Schuetz; seven grandchildren, Tony Hamm (Cristi), Marland Davis, Wiley Hamm (Robyn), Shanna Davis (Brady Bennett), Kenneth Davis (Ashli), Tyler Steele and Hunter Steele; and six great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Shonda, Kenli, Landon, Shaelyn and Kynsleigh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Velma May Robertson; wife, Edna Lou Green Robertson in 1963; and wife, Betty Jo Hogan Robertson in 1998.

Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 28, 2013, in Combest Family Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, in Combest Family Memorial Chapel with Bruce Cotton officiating. Interment will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery in Crosbyton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 3702 21st St., Lubbock, TX 79410.
