Services for Dennis Robertson, 81, of Crosbyton, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 1990 in the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor and Rev. Ned Hicks, pastor of Spur´s First Christian Church, officiating.Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mr. Robertson died at 3:18 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 1990 in Lubbock´s St. Mary´s Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born May 12, 1908 in Seymour, Texas and married Lavert M. McDonald, December 17, 1927 in Crosbyton. He was a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church in 1913. He was the former President of the Crosbyton Sing Along. He served for 15 years as a former Lawman in the 1940´s and 1950´s in Lubbock County, Amarillo, Crosbyton, Clovis, NM, Hale Center, Idalou and Wolfforth. The last 25 years he was a carpenter around Crosbyton. He lived in Crosbyton most of his life.
He is preceded in death by 1 daughter, Velma Mae Robertson who died in 1937, a brother, Fulton Robertson who died in 1924 and by a sister, Louise Robertson who died in 1940.
