Lon Roberts 79 of Ralls passed away Friday March 20, 2015. He was born December 27, 1935 in Mt. Blanco to Julian F. and Velma Ora Norman Roberts. Lon married Laverne Marsh on August 12, 1961 in Crosbyton Texas. He graduated from Ralls High School in 1954 and went to Texas Tech before entering the United States Army. Lon was a longtime member of the Lions Club both in Ralls and Crosbyton, a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Advisory Board for the Boy Scouts. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ralls.
Lon is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Verle Roberts.
Lon is survived by his wife, three daughters; Mona Roberts of Ralls, Michele Cook of Ralls, and Melinda Roberts of Ralls, two sisters; Evelyn Brockett of Ralls and Carolyn Tarpley of Lake Wood Co. Lon also leaves behind two grandchildren; Natyra Roberts and husband Caleb of Weatherford Ok. and Nick Cook and fianc�e Emily Walker of Canyon.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 22, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Ralls. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. A visitation will be held Saturday from 6 till 7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.
