• Obituary

Funeral services for James Franklin Roberts, 83, were held in the First Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, in Crosbyton.

Rev. W.F. Gaede officiated. Burial was in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of King Funeral Home.

Roberts died at his home in Crosbyton early Monday after a long illness.

Survivors include the wife, Ollie Frances, three daughters: Mrs. Leonard Stewart, Crosbyton; Mrs. Peyton Hancock, Coolidge; Mrs. C.W. Cannon, Spur; a brother, Albert Roberts, Donise; Nine grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Three sons preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Ed Stewart, Lubbock; Robert Work, Richard Proctor, Hubert Curry, Glen Brashear and Glenford Fowler all of Crosbyton.
