CROSBYTON — Services for Ernest W. Roberson, 90, of Crosbyton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church with Elder George Johnson and Elder Mike Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mr. Roberson passed away Saturday afternoon at Crosbyton Hospital. He was born July 24, 1913, in Dodsonville, Texas, and married Genia Dunn on Oct. 1, 1935, in Crosbyton. He co- owned and operated Model Clothiers and Cleaners in Crosbyton for many years, then managed the Varsity Village Apartments in Lubbock from 1973 to 1981. He moved to Crosbyton in 1933, then lived in Lubbock for 20 years before moving back to Crosbyton.
Survivors include his wife, Genia Roberson of Crosbyton; a son and his wife, Tad and Jan Roberson of Rosenberg, Texas; three grandchildren, Kay and Kenneth Newbury, Jana Trovato, and Kris Anthony; five great- grandchildren, Kourtney Newbury, Samantha Trovato, Joseph Trovato, Kevin Newbury, and Thomas Newbury. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

Genia passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in Smithville, Texas. She was born December 22, 1913 in Floyd County, Texas to the late Elder Thomas Alexander and Eunice Melinda (Danielly) Dunn. On October 1, 1935 she married Ernest Winston Roberson in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death November 15, 2003. A lifelong resident of the Crosby County area, she was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and the Needle Club in Crosbyton. She and Ernest owned and operated Model Clothiers and Cleaners in Crosbyton for many years and then they owned Varsity Village Apartments in Crosbyton from 1973 to 1981.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, John Allen Dunn and Thomas Aubrey Dunn and by four sisters, Norene Collier, Minnie Lee Roberts, Mae Reeves and Willie Ruth Odom.
Survivors include her son and his wife, Tad and Jan Roberson of Muldoon; three grandchildren, Kay and Kenneth Newbury, Jana and Charles Trovato and Kris Anthony; five great grandchildren, Kourtney, Samantha, Kevin, Joe and Thomas and one great great granddaughter Isabella Lynn.
The family will receive friends at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Friday.
