Funeral Services Held at Baptist Church Here YesterdayE.A. Roberson, 45, was killed almost instantly Wednesday evening about 5:00 o'clock in a gin accident at Ralls. His right leg was torn off and he died about 5 minutes after the mishap.
A belt on the gin machinery had slipped off a wheel and he was attempting to replace it. He stepped on it and was thrown into the shaft. Mr. Roberson lived at Crosbyton and drove to his work at the gin at Ralls.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with Rev. W.R. Derr, pastor of the First Baptist church of Ralls, officiating. Burial was in charge of Will Marr Funeral Home, Ralls.
²He is survived by his wife and four children; three sons, Emery Lee, Arthur, and Ernest Roberson, all of Crosbyton; a daughter, Vera Jane Roberson of Crosbyton; a brother, Winston Roberson of Gladewater; and four sisters, Mrs. Otto Nichols of Fort Worth, Mrs. Lillie Nichols of Goose Creek, Mrs. Guy Day of Fort Worth, and Miss Winnie Roberson of Houston.

Services for Belle Roberson, 96, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 4, 1990, in Adams Funeral Home chapel in Crosbyton with the Rev. Lester Griffin, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Elder George Johnson, Pastor Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 1990 in St. Mary´s Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Coleman and moved to Lubbock 10 years ago from Crosbyton. She married E.A. Roberson on Oct. 12, 1912. He died in 1938. She owned Roberson apartments in Crosbyton for many years and worked as a nurse for Dr. Roy Ivy and Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church. A son, Arthur, died in 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest of Lubbock and Emery of Floydada; a daughter, Vera Ensey of Lubbock; two sisters, Ida Nix of Odessa and Opal Baker of Los Angeles, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
