Obituary

Lonnie Richardson, a Crosbyton resident virtually all his life, was buried Friday afternoon in Crosbyton Cemetery. Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. that day in the Church of Christ with the Rev. Donald Hancock and the Rev. Johnnie Williams, both of Lubbock, officiating.

Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Mr. Richardson, 47, was claimed by death at 9:30 a.m. last Wednesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

He became ill about 11 p.m. Tuesday when sitting at the hospital with his son, Mike. His condition was not considered serious until he suffered an apparent heart attack about 15 minutes prior to his death.

Born Oct. 5, 1933, in Floydada, Lonnie Richardson moved to Crosbyton as a boy. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign wars.

Mr. Richardson and the former Joanna Griffin were married Sept. 10, 1965, in Hereford.

He was employed as maintenance supervisor at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Joanna; four sons, Michael Lee Richardson of the home, Ronnie Richardson, Paul Richardson and Craig Richardson, all of Flint, Mich.; one stepson, Jay Odom of Flint, Mich.; his father, Jess Richardson of Hamilton; three brothers, L.D. Richardson of Stinnett, J.D. Richardson of Hereford and Donnie Richardson of Lubbock; five sisters, Vesta Dewbre, Vertie Powell, Tina Cooper and Ollie Polvadore, all of the Crosbyton, and Betty Boggs of Hereford; and four grandchildren.

CROSBYTON (Special) — Services for Jo Anna Griffin Richardson, 54, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Crosbyton Church of Christ with the Rev. Ronnie Marley, a Baptist minister of Fort Worth, and William Eudy, minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Monday, Nov. 27, 1995, in Crosbyton Clinic hospital.

She was born March 7, 1941, in Crosbyton. She married Lonnie Richardson on Sept. 10, 1965, in Hereford. He died June 3, 1981. She was a Baptist, and she had lived in Hereford and Lubbock.

She had worked at Crosbyton Hospital and at several restaurants. A son, Michael Lee, died June 13, 1982.

Survivors include three brothers, Dub Griffin of Crosbyton, Arther Lee Griffin of Lubbock and Forrest Griffin of Ralls.
